My English oral exams are over!!! The title is an excerpt from the last two lines of Wordsworth's "And in the frosty season" -- they're my favourite lines, lol.

But then, because of my english orals, I went and searched up Lord Byron's gay poems for his choirboy boyfriend when he was seventeen (they are his best poems, really), and I found my favourite poem all time. Here are the last two lines for 'Stanzas to Jessy' ('Jessy' is used as a name to replace that of the choirboy's):

There are two Hearts whose movements thrill,
In unison so closely sweet,
That Pulse to Pulse responsive still
They Both must heave, or cease to beat.

There are two Souls, whose equal flow
In gentle stream so calmly run,

Anyway, yeah, the oral exams are over. I feel like there isn't much to do at all, but at the same time, I actually have a lot of college essays to write. >.>

I need to go out to Causeway Bay tomorrow (waaaayyy downtown, literally). >.> Have to leave at noon-ish then I guess.

Don't have much else to say. I CAN'T WAIT FOR CHRISTMAS!! But Christmas also means I have to get a kick on with my college apps. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. -lazy-

I'm thinking of getting everyone small chocolates this year for Christmas.

I MARCH FORWARD!!

Yes I do.

I stayed up til' 3am last night (this morning) working on a math portfolio. I've never stayed up til' that time of the... morning before. >.> I'm dead tired now actually, so after this entry, I'm gonna go get myself some sleep. I'm so glad it's Saturday tomorrow.

Anyway, the work is still coming at me like mad, but I can deal with it. I'm just here to say that I kinda miss my long hair. XD

I was looking through a few of my own photos when I realised that, damn, my hair used to be kinda long. XD



Well, now it's much shorter. I know I showed you guys some photos before, but those were IMO pretty bad shots of what the hair is *supposed* to look like before... I sleep and wake up and it messes up for the rest of the day... which is... um, no time of the day. Well:



This photo was taken right after I got out of the hairdresser's one month ago. It actually looked decent back then. XD I just can't (be bothered to) get it right again these days.

Anyway, that's all for now. Feeling kinda sleepy, shall retire and sleep til' noon!!

And I reached my target, but in the most undesirable way possible. :(

Well, it was fine since all my section scores were better than last time, but I kinda wish they were more... even.

Like, I got 2120. But the break down was like this:

Math: 690
CR: 650
Writing: 780

Okay. What do you think is wrong with that? :'O

A lot of colleges only look at math and CR, and the majority of my score comes from my writing. :'( No waaaaaaaay... if I got 780 in math instead of writing, that'd be waaaaay better. >.>

Sigh, oh well. I got my 2100+ score. I'm retiring SAT Is forever I think. Now I'm focusing on SAT II. My math II is pretty screwed as of right now. Haven't studied enough. I already signed up for the December retake in case I really do screw up.

And I don't have a CD player. I need a freaking CD player for my SAT II Japanese listening. Who the hell sells CD players these days. -__-

On the bright side, I'm going to the Ocean Park Halloween Bash tomorrow-- on Halloween, so that should be quite fun. Maybe I'll come back really freaked out by the haunted houses. Haha, I've never been in one before, and I'm really scared of that stuff anyway....

I haven't updated in a while. Anyway, just popping in to say that I really hope that this will be all over soon!! And I know I still of all of November to suffer, really. It won't be until after all my college apps and internal assessments are done for this term that I can finally relax.

Sigh, well, that "EE" (Extended Essay) I've been talking about for a few months already... it's finally DONE and the deadline is tomorrow. You won't hear me talking about it anymore around here. :D

I also have a biology internal assessment due in for tomorrow. I just have to check over it to make sure I'm not missing anything. Then all the urgent work is done for today and hopefully I can work on some math to prepare for my math II SAT subject test. Sigh. I'm currently severely under-prepared. :(

Anyway, all that work aside, I'll share some photos of what I did last week with you guys!! I haven't posted about anything besides work recently anyway.



Last week for 5 days (monday to friday) I visited a kindergarten with a few other classmates and we taught the kids English. It was a lot of fun because the kids were so cute! They were like 4-5 yrs old. And we taught in games (like hangman), so it wasn't boring. XD

I came back from the SATs yesterday and got a fever.

Thing is, I was a little sick beforehand already, but not sick enough to lose concentration during the SATs. I was fine during my test, I think I did quite well (except for in critical reading but everyone screws up critical reading so I take comfort in that fact.) But then after I got out of the school hall, I started getting all dizzy like I'm floating or something. :P

I think the school hall was too cold. XD

Oh well, feeling a little sick now, but not too bad since the sore throat went away.

So yeah, thanks to all of you who wished me good luck. I was really really empowered by all the comments. :)

Hopefully I'll make it above 2100. Maybe even close to 2200!

Aside from that, I still have a lot of work to do. I MUST GET INTO ONE OF MY REACH UNIVERSITIES!! Yesssss... (hopefully it's CMU.) O' Carnegie Mellon~~
